J Los Angeles is committed to providing an accessible and welcoming campus for members, guests, and event attendees. Below you’ll find information about ADA accessibility, accessible parking, entrances, restrooms, transportation, and how to request accommodations for programs and events at our Los Angeles campus.

Is the J Los Angeles campus accessible?

J Los Angeles is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming experience for all members of our community. Our campus includes accessible entrances, restrooms, parking options, and on-site staff available to assist guests.

Is there an accessible entrance to the building?

Yes. The main entrance is accessible via a ramp at the front of the building. While the front door does not open automatically, security staff are always present and available to assist with entry.

Does the building have an elevator?

At this time, the J Los Angeles building does not have an elevator. Guests using accessible parking can reach the main level by exiting through the alley and entering via the front ramp, located on Olympic Blvd.

What options exist for getting in the pool?

The pool has one set of tile stairs into the shallow end (3 ft deep) with metal handrails on both sides for entry and 3 additional ladders.

Is accessible parking available?

Yes. Accessible parking spaces are available in the parking garage on the lower level of the building.

How do I access the building from accessible parking?

From the lower-level parking lot, guests can exit toward the alley and use the intercom at the black gate to request entry. This provides step-free access to the lower level of the campus including the preschool, pool, and patio. For main floor access the alley way leads to the sidewalk and up a ramp to the front doors.

Is the J accessible by public transportation?

Yes. The J Los Angeles is located near bus stops at Olympic & Spaulding and Olympic & Curson, with sidewalks and crosswalks leading to the accessible front entrance.

Are there wheelchair-accessible restrooms?

Yes. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms with grab bars are located on the main floor near the lobby. An additional gender-neutral accessible restroom is located on the main floor near the gym.

Are changing tables available?

Yes. Changing tables are available in both the main floor men’s and women’s restrooms.

Is seating available in the lobby?

Yes. Seating is available in the lobby, including low couches and chairs near tables for guests who may need to rest.

Is there free public Wi-Fi?

Yes. Free public Wi-Fi is available on campus. Front desk staff can provide the password when you arrive.

Are service animals allowed?

Yes. Service animals are welcome throughout the J Los Angeles campus in accordance with ADA guidelines. Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted without prior authorization from a staff member.

Is staff available to assist guests with disabilities?

Yes. Security and front-desk staff are present at the front entrance on Olympic Blvd. to assist with entry, and pool staff are available to assist with entry to the Aquatic Center. Intercoms are available at other entrances to request access and support.

Can I request accommodations for a program or event?

Yes. We encourage guests to contact us in advance if specific accommodations are needed so we can do our best to support your participation. Please contact the coordinator of the event. If you’re not sure who to reach, you may call the main J Los Angeles line at 323-938-2531.

Do you offer sensory-friendly or quiet spaces?

Some events may include quieter or lower-stimulus areas. Availability varies by program, and we recommend reaching out ahead of time with specific needs.
